How to increase targeted traffic by using long tail keywords

SEO is not all about backlinks you know. You might find it difficult to believe (I know I do), but the referencing is really on the following processes (not just links):

keyword research
drafting of content and site management
backlinks
analysis and feedback

Although there are blogs and forums SEO that celebrates only backlinks, it undermines the other three tools that a webmaster can use to promote their site in search engines.

Our goal is a targeted traffic. Note that one way to do this. My preference is to go for a long tail which has little or no competition. Even in the confined keywords long tail, I only target not everything under the Sun. A few long tails as how to make money online, is really competitive.
