Tollywood vs Bollywood - Who is a Bigger Player?

India is synonymous to historical chronicles, diversifying cultures, and most importantly films. Indian cinema fraternity isn't limited to Bollywood, as many perceive it to be. Telugu cinema screen has been quite a show stealer in the southern realm of India. India is a vast country with multitude of religions and languages. Tollywood is yet another film industry that refers to the movies made down in south, precisely in Andhra. Bollywood is known to have a better footprint in the Indian film industry vis a vis its counterparts, but there's always been a stringent bone of contention between the two film cultures about the products they create! So who surpasses the other and has a superior stand? To each, his own! For now, let's do a practical synopsis.

Well, Bollywood has a fan following across the map, whereas Tollywood still needs to sink in people's hearts besides southern part of the country. Although Tollywood movies reviews has made more movies than its Mumbai counterpart, as far as stats reveal, but still has a long way to go when it comes to becoming show stealers and attracting fan affection. Bollywood has left its imprint on a global scale and has been stepping up fame corridors evermore year after year. Bollywood actors are enormously paid as compared to Tollywood actors and also have a stronger footprint in the international realm. Online Telugu Actress Stills needs to work on its PR skills and strategic marketing in order to seep into global map.

More cues on the most powerful film industries of the country

However, Tollywood telugu movies has never compromised on quality and has screened some of the most well made movies like the ‘Arundhati' or the ‘Maghadeera'. Tollywood makes about 275 films every year, making it one of the most productive film fraternities of the country. Tollywood indeed has a huge reservoir of cinematic potential and creative knack to make magnum opus films; however the industry lacks financers and a broad mindset. Unlike Bollywood, Telugu film industry is more men oriented and actors do not feel the need to move out of their ego shells to do multi starrer movies. Tollywood telugu movies have limited audience owing to restrictive exposure as compared to Bollywood that goes places once the film is released.
With all the debates and mudslinging that happens even amid commonest of the people about which Indian hub makes better movies, both Tollywood and Bollywood have their own drawbacks and shine-through reasons. But as far as critical acclaim and industry stats say, Bollywood certainly has a trump of several factors going in its favour that makes it more desirable than its southern counterpart.

‘Bhakta Prahlada' was the first talkie movie in Telugu language that created a milestone in the history of Indian cinema, and in the same breath, Bollywood's first talkie movie ‘Alam Ara' also made waves across the country. Both the films were released in the same year 1931 that marked a new dawn in the Indian cinematic history.

So to put it the fair way, India is blessed to have film industries so diverse and talented to bring revolutionary creations to the society. Tollywood and Bollywood have their own spaces in the fraternity and both need to bring certain beneficial changes in their respective domains to transform for the better and reap more aficionados.
